Hi BHW, I've been lurking around the Facebook forums and unfortunately jumped on the FBML CPA bandwagon late in the game. I actually spent time to find the code myself and then came here and saw that it was posted but it was a good experience learning it.

Anyway, I started a basic FBML CPA Page but instead of directly saying Free blah blah blah, I made the page in what I hope is a viral title that has to do with the business - but not directly about a free gift card. The landing page is just a 2-step, instead of a 3-step with the offer opening in a new window on click.

Live for about 18 hours, 160 fans, 4 unique clicks, 1 lead. Now, that seems really low to me. Why become a fan of the page if you're not going to click after seeing the landing page?

I know its early in, but I wanted to know if this seemed off. I'm new to CPA and Aff Networks so I'm also worried about shaving, but probably too early for that.

Thanks!

You need to make sure that your FBML is setting the default landing page correctly they may be landing straight on your wall.

A lot become fans and dont come to the page. They do it from their profile. Some will come days later.

TDO - Thanks for the tip, but I'm not that much of a n00b :)

Carolina - Great point, I forgot about the power of the news feed...

How does someone become a fan without clicking on the page? Via the suggestion box on the homepage?

If anyone is looking for the code I used, its all over the forum. After whats happened in the past two days with FB cracking down on used code, sharing exact methods will (or hopefully will) stop. This is FB, its free to try things, just takes your time so go out and experiment.

Some people just accept the invite because it pops up as notification. Some accept and never visit the page :)
