FB page do people really make thousands a week?????

Hi guys,
I read the forums every day to find info on fan pages and to find out the best way to make money through my fan page! I am so scared of getting my very big page banned!!! So I just sell merchandise on there through my website and it works great! But I still feel I am not getting the full potential out of my fan page. I see people on here saying they make thousands a week is this true?? My page is 5 x as big as anyone?s I have seen on here. I find it hard to trust people on the forums otherwise I would luv to jv with someone who knows there s***! ! advice please!!

many factors make the difference, the engagement of the fan page is one, the countries of the members is other, you can try cpa, apps (indianbill have a nice thread for that)
 
I am guessing most people do not make much money on Facebook fan pages, sure, you may have one or two that have a good system down but not most...
 
The safest way at the moment is to direct traffic off facebook and onto a site, thats the trouble with owning something you dont really own. any slip ups and facebook will ban your ass quicker then you can log in!

Yes Earlier like 2-3 months ago I remember my friend making $23185 in a single day from viral facebook apps in his fanpage with like 400k+ likes !!!!But now as he says things have changed , Fb has put bots that ban these illegal apps ; but still fb got lot of potential .
 
Thousands per week is a ridiculous claim for most FB fan pages. Let's say you had one with a million fans, if you use the pagelever / SEL metrics http://pagelever.com/fan-pages-impressions-pageviews-benchmark-methodology/ for one monetized post a day you could at most expect 27,500 views of it and being really generous with a eCPM around $1 (keep in mind FB doesn't sell run of FB for that much because FB traffic is generally crap) and then give a generous allowance for nonfan/search traffic you could make around $200 a week.

The people making real money don't talk about it because its just plain dumb to bring in more competition.
 
You can make lots of money from Facebook traffic but its not easy and if someone tells you that he is doing it on autopilot with no hard work, dont belive him:)

Small tip: PR agencies, can pay more than affiliate programs for every update.

So, if you really want to make money from Facebook traffic, you really need to think outside the box.

Many of the people claiming big earnings with stuff like fan pages, pinterest, and instagram just want to sell something. I'm highly suspect of anybody who says they're banking so big with their social traffic they want to sell a viral app or bot for $49.

Some people making real money don't mind talking about their methods and techniques because they're not worried about competition; experience and other factors often make competition irrelevant, but they certainly won't sell you a bot to allow you to compete with them.

You pretty much summed it up.

I am currently banking off fan pages. It's taken many sites and lots of work to build the solid traffic and then convert the solid traffic. I am making $2.5 for every thousand hits I get and I know of guys making $9 per thousand hits they get.
