Hey guys — looking for experienced input.
I posted in a few VA/Android groups: “Need 500+ Android users to help test a mobile app, no skills needed, comment ANDROID + DM me.” The posts started to take off, but soon after Facebook restricted my account from messaging new people for a week and flagged it as a cybersecurity issue, something like “tricking people into installing a harmful app” or similar issue (no exact mention)
No phishing, no malware, nothing shady — it’s a legit app testing / monitoring gig. The only things I can think of that may have triggered it:
Even if I got someone else to post this for me in future (don't want to risk my real FB account), what exact process would they need to follow to even be able to recruit 100+ / 500+ people without getting restricted after 10 messages?
Appreciate any real-world experience / do’s and don’ts.

No phishing, no malware, nothing shady — it’s a legit app testing / monitoring gig. The only things I can think of that may have triggered it:
- I mentioned “paid via crypto” to ONE person who asked about payout
- I used a Google Form asking for basic info (email + phone) for onboarding
- Small volume of similar replies/DMs including google form link (only responded to 10 DMs, then account was already restricted)
- Any idea what the actual trigger for the restriction was? (wording of the post, report from 1 of the 10 people whom I talked to, crypto mention automated, external form)? I was honestly shocked how quickly this happened. Only had best intentions.
- If you’ve done group-based (mass) recruiting at scale, what’s the safest policy-compliant flow that still converts well?
- Any best practices to prevent account damage while still leveraging group virality?
