I have seen quite a few Facebook likes, twitter followers, you tube views selling sites, saw them in Just sold area. Do you guys think that these are scam sites? They claim that site generates in avarage 600-800$ per month, price for selling was like 2000$

I wonder where they get the traffic from. They claim that they get traffic from ads, one site is giving 400$ per month for ads (at least they claim so)

All scams. Look at the Alexa number for the website and you'll find most are above 20 million or unranked by Alexa. That means NO TRAFFIC regardless of wtf the seller says. The ones that have Alexa rank then check how much traffic from search engines and where traffic is coming from. Bot traffic is easy to spot after you research a few sites.

Even websites that don't get organic traffic and get traffic from ads have Alexa traffic numbers. Real visitors drive down Alexa regardless of how they find the website.

I've researched more than 100 of these websites and I have yet to find even ONE website that wasn't a total scam. You'd have better odds of finding Bigfoot then finding a legitimate likes/followers website.

At the lower end of the market you may be right. At the higher end, they certainly do exist. We've brokered a few $XXX,XXX social media service sites this year so while they are quite rare they are definitely out there :)
