I'll be honest with you - I'm not 100% what I'm doing. Not even 90%.
But the words TAKE ACTION are ringing loudly in my ears, calling me to place one foot firmly FORWARD and follow in the footsteps of the many BHW Heroes and Heroines who sing glorious tales of both sorrow and SUCCESS. Who give cherished advice to newbies just like me from hard-earned and hard-won experience. It's a call to action that I simply must embrace.
How does the phrase go again? "Give a man a fish and he can feed himself for a day, give him a net..." Ah! You know the rest!
In short, you are inspiring.
So, down to the brass tax: I hear you ask, "What's the plan, Stan?"
Firstly, my name's not Stan.
Now we've got that out the way, the plan is this:
Using BassTrackerBoats' and Inception_AV's epicly awesome Facebook threads as a foundation (if you're a fellow newbie, and haven't seen them, do yourself a favour - go and read them right now), along with a few other great threads, I have one goal: Get Good.
Get good at the skill and art that is IM.
What? No, 'I want to earn $1000 per month on FB'? Sure, that will be very good. But what I really want is to become truly skilled: finding superb niches and stellar offers, writing engaging and valuable posts, and crafting lead pages that are both compelling and authentic.
And from what I've read by the experienced BHWers, there isn't a quick fix for this, there ain't no magic bullet. Instead, persistence, diligence, practice, adaptibility and creativity are what win the day, that provide the solid foundations needed for long term success. Those are my goals. That is my objective.
Action List for this Week:
* "To VPS or not VPS? That is the question."
* "Get Going, Get Practicing: Start Learning."
Thank you for taking the time to read this first step on my journey - if you have any advice please feel free to chime in whenever you like - I'm all ears!
For any Only Fools and Horses fans reading this, I'll end with the sage words of Derek Trotter:
"He Who Dares, Rodney... He Who Dares!"
Thanks again,
Apkallu
