I appreciate your input, I was more directed at not to raid a page and get kicked off it, if you linked a page of the exact same niche surely to ruin it?

Nobody said anything about spamming. Advertising is on creativity.
Lets say your target page is about rock climbing.
Share on your page the new climbing wall that is tall and bold.
you can then link that on the new rock climbing page and say something like "I want to go to (insert wherever this wall is someday *emoji emoji*"

This is just where your engagements skills show up. You can try digging into Reddit and reposting trending news on your niche, might work out alright. Same with Instagram etc. Ripping content is kinda bad, but there is a way to use it.
