FB Groups - possible to get alerted when a certain keyword is mentioned?

Yeah but it is the other way around. You must enter some keywords and then FB will notify you when someone is using it. That is useless. It's not like FB is giving all the used keywords on your group.

I don't own any groups - I'm a member of groups and I want to know if it's possible to FB alert me when a keyword is mentioned in some of the groups.

Surely this could be done with some script, but I'm just curious if there is a ready solution.
 
There is no such feature in groups.
 
I'd be utterly amazed if Facebook had a feature like this.

This could be done with custom code though. Code a web listener to constantly monitor groups and the latest posts and set up a trigger/alert when a certain keyword is mentioned.

That’s for groups you own and serves more of a “moderation” purpose than anything else. OP is asking to be notified for keywords mentioned in groups that they don’t own.

Ah didn't saw that. If you are owner then you have this option.
 
I think this doable but only if the groups are public,
It's a part of the Brand Reputation management process that big companies use to identify mentions of their names in posts and to determine if there's any potential harm to their image.
Mention is the one on top of my head, you can check others by doing a search.
 
not going to be free and need a vps and a scrapping code .

waste of time really because you can only
scrape the groups your joined to .
 
I'm sure some marketers would pay good money for such a notification service.
