FB apps slowly dieing ! ?

Can you use old tokens when they did not grant offline? It looks like there is a time stamp on the token, could it be changed?

I never got the point of offline access. What is it exactly? Not that it is important but just as a fact. Got another 2 apps wiped out in the past 5 hours or so.

Those people getting thousands of tokens and posting to thousands must surely have found a way around it, re-coded the scripts etc otherwise I don't see how their apps survive.

FB apps are dead now, I dont know how their automated system is working but now it is catching everything suspicious. So its over :(

Think outside the box ppl, apps are being banned when they are not legit, they are thousands of ways to legit them and monetize them AFTER.

Be patient ;)

Guys give me some traffic ideas to start up an app and make it viral..
I have 5k fb friends 10k twitter followers and i also post on the biggest fanpages but still cant get enough traffic to make my app viral..The people click on apps very rarely now ;(

You don't need offline access to publish to walls of your users. In fact, you don't even need an access token to do that, you only need the publish_stream permission.

Offline access gives your app the ability to get info about the user at any given point in time, for instance you may want to see their new likes, or changes in their "Interests" or "About" section.

Do you think that if i disable the offline access it will make my app to live longer. And also how i can disable this offline access on tinies app..
Would you also share a way to drive initial fire up traffic to my apps :sadwavey:

Im a daily user of Neo and have used Tinie as well as every like and share script you can imagine.

There is nothing you can do to stop your apps gettting deleted especially if they have a widget on. FB dont want any of their users to have to pay or jump through hoops to see anything on their site.

For example it is against FB terms to have a wall post prefilled with information that the user didnt know about, so in one move your app is already doomed to die. FB also see a wall post created by a script as opposed to the user creating it as spam. Again app is dead. No privacy policy or TOS page?...app dead. The list goes on. FB dont want the pages and will use anything to take them down so tha only answer is to keep making them.

I make about 5 a day on new domains and keep putting them up. Best ones on Neo have reached 17000 tokens whilst some have dies at 200 for the same topic. Btach runs and cron jobs will affect what happens. Too many and too big will flag you up very fast.

This page from FB might help a little http://developers.facebook.com/docs/guides/policy/application_integration_points

yea
facebook is really cracking down on apps that publish to walls/pages

FB is not stupid, they are highly adaptive and this is what happenes when everyone tries to use the same app.

It's been said time and time again but.. you can continue to use the same scripts and grind it out with the rest of the fb marketers, constantly searching for the tiniest edge that will keep your apps alive for an extra couple of hours.. or you can find unique ways to take advantage of fb communication channels and find real success. Stay within tos if you want any sort of sustainable income (yes you can still go viral but you need the right combination of content and social engineering) and don't make it obvious you are gaming the system. Apps are far from dead.

VERY well said :) Facebook cracking down on these "ready made" viral apps people buy such as Tinies app is a good thing, it means the "script kiddies" who know nothing of coding will move along. Whereas the coders who explore and LEARN to work around the limitations will flourish. You can spot the people having success on FB apps a mile off with the "fb is dead move on posts"

I'm intrigued as to how FB app "spamming" will develop though, it is a built in feature to publish on walls, so they can't disable it... just increase the countermeasures.

I think FB will make it harder to do apps. Maybe trusted app designers will get instant approval, new app developers will have to have their apps approved. Pain for FB? Sure, but for them it is better than having rouge apps.

A lot are saying they have to have phone verification to create and app, that is the first step.

I think most apps are disabled/deleted by the users flagging them not from FB going in and looking for them.

So by luck your app can be successful, make a app that only asks for 1 permission and with no gateway and see how long it'll stay up.

99.5% of app deletions are automated. i'm certain of this because i lose apps at 1 in the morning and i know there's no one working that late lol

apps die when they post on walls. it's that simple, pretty much

I've noticed that apps created by non-verified accounts can't collect direct emails but only anonymous proxy emails, has anyone else noticed this?
