FB apps -Does BHW needs a custom apps service?

indianbill, I think the $1000 you are asking for is to high, unless you provide a review app to a highly respected BHW member, and they come back here and tell us it's worth the investment that you are asking for.

Edit: Not trying to bring down your business, but this isn't the services or buy/sell section :p

You are right, this isn't the BST section and I not taking in any orders via this thread. We are discussing where or not there is need for such a service and if yes what would a comfortable price point so that a large number of BHW members can enjoy the service and use it for their advantage.

I have been given various advices like coming with a hosted model for a monthly usage for a price per month, or create an initial set of apps, build traffic and auction them here and various other models. Am evaluating all of them and will soon come out with the service for all of you.

Also I have decided to keep my service 100% whitehat since spamming wont take us a anywhere, but a good idea + FB viral stint can give us success like zynga.

Lets hope for the best.

Maybe I got lucky and the bot missed something? Not sure.

BTW, $1k for a good solid app is not a bad price. I would gladly pay that =)
 
I have 4 apps on Neo 2.XX with tokens ranging from 400-800 for about a month and none of then have gotten delete. Can any body explain that to me?

And about your app it all depends on how good your app is. The features, support, updates, you have to take all that in mind. If the app has great features and have less change of getting deleted I believe $100 for the app and $50 for customization sounds awesome

I had tinie and customized it, no footprint unless they could read PHP, they still found my apps, well, because they were being posted on walls. Point is, it did not all have to do with footprints.

I even was the first spinning my text. I was not using the database for my text posting, I was spinning it inside the code. Time stamps, along with hour and date the offer expires stamp.

"Hurry, 1 day left! Offer Ends December 27, 2010."

Yes, some of mine lasted weeks, most a day.

I was not even using the usermain.php file.

Anyways, it has to do with more than a footprint. I scoured my files to make sure what they could see was not the same. I even changed the name of the fields in the database.
 
I am interested but cant see how anyone can add to what the two apps already do. I was able to, I added posting on their liked pages walls. I asked NEOAP to add it and he could not figure out the code.

I just got tired of battling FB, though I am tempted to start it back up since doing ads is not making me any money.
 
^ facebook can render php

if you use a 301 php redirect from url A to url B and you paste url A into your status update it will preview url B
 
What I was meaning is actually somehow reading my file, seeing my PHP script, then it would of been able to see my personal footprint. Most of the tinie app was php script, but some was not. I removed all the parts that were not, and put them into php code.

The only part I had outside of php, and it would then be considered my footprint was

that could be the answer why - v 2.xx .. why dont you try with the latest version 3.xx and see for yourself.
 
This does sound good. I got the tinie app, then 1 week later, down :( I would like to use some sort of app that helps me with posting to installer's walls and the option to auto post to their friends as well.
 
Why is everyone talking about the Tinie App and NEO app? They are dead. Take the idea and grow it into something more whitehat so it lasts.

Dude the $1k price point is nothing! Anyone telling you they would not pay it is not people you want to build apps for. I crash coursed into apps about 3 months ago. Started off at price points of $300 and got into some higher dollar clientele. Now my base is $1k. If you are making dashboards and admin pannels then ya for sure I would charge over $1k.

I never understood why people sell apps so cheap. You have the power to start a viral shit storm (neo apps for example) and they sell it for a measly $50 bux...idiots.
 
Any update on these ideas and have you started taking orders/requests?

Yup, I agree with you, not interested in selling those $50 cheap scripts. Minimum cost to entry I am planning would be $500 or above for custom apps.

Am working on a rental model for the people who want to invest small and taste the waters of FB.

Lots of stuff in cooking right now, guys keep a watch on this thread, I shall update you soon.
