FB apps -Does BHW needs a custom apps service?

Hi Blackhatters,

Being marketing on FB and programming my own apps to do the same, I do feel that there is a dire need of custom apps service in Facebook.

I will give away some of apps free as a review of the service. Iam not able to come to price point since building apps like cost is directly proportional to the features you want.

Any ideas BHW how should a service like this, you would like to consume?

I am not in the mood to build something like neoapp or tinie, since they have a footprint and can be tracked very easily and deleted in bunch by automated algorithms developed by FB engineers.

Thats the reason you see neoapps getting deleted in hrs time, even if you leave them Untouched. No spam, no usage at all. Still it will get deleted. I have done a live case study on this.

Pour in your ideas, FB is the cash cow of the day!

Hi mate,

I like your idea of custom programming, but one reason FB developed an algorythm in the first place is, that EVERYONE was using the apps. Even ppl who don't know the slightest about FBML/Opengraph

So I think releasing apps for everyone to use will generate the exact same problem.

Hit me up if you are interested in some cooperations, got some ideas etc, but definately not for sharing with everyone ;)
 
Any interest in coding a WH app for a page that already has 40k fans?
 
henkedk, thats the whole idea, no two persons would own the exact same app. There will be a customization of urls, file sizes, images , graphics and lot of other metrics which FB uses to track the spammy apps and block them algorithmically.

The challenge for me here is to work out a pricing plan for the customizations.

Apps die quickly because they make lots of posts in a short time interval on people's walls via stream publish. That's how facebook primarily detects spammy apps.

Thats not the only reason, a lot goes behind the scenes. Zynga makes lots of posting still the are not banned. Its actually the ratio of installs and how much you post.

You are wrong in your assumption. I can get your app dead without doing any such activity whatsoever. With 1 wall post and 1 publish, I can get it banned.

All I will do is this, I will create 10 similar clones of your app using the same code from 10 different accounts and spam the shit out of FB using them.

Doing this will get your app auto deleted by FB platform.

Yup, you are right, they do die behind the scenes and I have done live benchmark tests to prove this fact.

About Xynga, they pay huge advertising dollars to facebook to the tune of 100 million dollars an year.

So FB , dare not ban them lolz :D.

Moreover, They adhere to FB developer guidelines very strictly.
 
Well, to keep it serious and avoid all the nobrain spammers to have access, I think the price range should be high... E.g. $2-300 for the app + another $50-$100 for the customization and with that you offer support for a month e.g. - just an idea...

But as said, get in touch if you want to throw some ideas and knowledge around :)

There is nothing called whitelisiting in case of FB apps. It exists in case of Twitter platform.

Just make sure your app remains inside developer guidelines and you should be good to grow to the scale of zynga.

Sure I will release some free apps, but could you comment on the price point? I think this is a kind of unique service and we need it here if at all I can arrive at a good price point.
 
I am very interested, but it depends on what you can provide. What types of applications have you programmed in the past? What types of features are available? Support available?

These are the types of questions to ask yourself when determining the price point.

That said, if you have experience in this realm, PM me, because I just happen to be looking for a developer for an app.
 
on my opinion $100 for that custom app..and another $50's for next updates..well its just an suggestion though..

When did you run these tests? Maybe the facebook bot is monitoring your account.

Are you sure you are using neoapp without any variations(no code changes what so ever). PM me your app url if you back up what you mentioned in your post, I will investigate and post my honest findings here.
 
on the other side we should remain with our feet on the ground when it comes to the price... that will also depend how it will work, and how long.
because even with some customized coding - it wont be some stable ground, a couple of spam reports and its over.
but one thing is for sure - the market of such fb apps is open now since there are no working products now.

my neoapp with 6 users, no new invites, no posting at all - was deleted today.
and also i dont see no one in this forum for FB say he's got some good results with it.
 
it would be hilarious if someone did a batch run on farmville or cityville app
