FB app cost?

Hey,

I'm looking to hire someone to do a little programming for me.

I want to get a squeeze page converted into fbml for my fan page, and have the opt-in box prepopulate with the facebook users info (so all they have to do is click 'sign up')

Can anyone send me a quote or give me an idea of what this should cost to have done?

You can't prepopulate it because FB doesn't pass any information about the user browsing your fan page (except for some session info which is pretty much useless in FBML tabs).

phph5 - I actually met with a business that does this (creates FB forms that prepopulate) so I know it can be done. From what they were telling me they pull the info from the facebook users profile.

If the form is in an application which the user has authorised - then of course it's possible.

But it is NOT possible within an FBML tab on a fan page, unless the user provides their ID and clicks on a button (and then an ajax call is made to a script which fetches the public info from the user's profile, and populates the form).

Simplex, you dont know what you are talking about. First you say you want an fb app in your title then you are saying you want to squeeze a page into your fbml page. Those are 2 completely different things.

A fbml page is something and a fb app is another thing. php5 is right you cant prepopulate unless the ajax call is made to a script which fetches the public info from the user's profile.

Ok. I don't know what I'm talking about. I'm cool with that. That's kinda why I started this thread... had I known what I was talking about I'd probably have an idea of what something like this would cost... don't you think?

I was simply telling phph5 what I thought I understood about what the company told me, nothing more.
