why are the ads so expensive all of a sudden, the keyword is not that special, supposed to be about 60million users but they only give me 2,000 for 10$ min. cpm is more than 5$ that is insane

It takes a lot of testing with custom audiences to get your price point low. Facebook is still one of the cheapest traffic methods I use.

We are still getting 5c clicks for things, but I must admit its getting harder.

one of our popular niches, its about average of 50c per subscriber now, which is pretty high for social media.

again it comes down to testing, but the heaven and glory days of cheap cheap stuff on facebook is slowly coming to an end yes.

It's because of the Q4 (holiday seasons). Think of the heavy advertisers who solely rely to promote their products in Q4. Now, in order to win the traffic you have to outbid them most probably!

Especially in the US market bids are very high think of mortgage niche and other players who try to promote their offers at the end of the year only.

I agree with shaggy93. The holiday season requires you to outbid other advertisers which increases your cost.
Try to target other markets or regions and see if your cost comes down.

Q4 is usually when big brands unleash their "unlimited budget" on fb hence the high cpm/cpc prices.

If you wait it out til Q1, then prices should come down.

Your CTR is probably low. Be more creative and capture the users attention. Also its the holiday season so the prices are at least 20% higher than usual as the all the big companies are wildly spending their left over ads budgets for the year.

They are influenced... the PPC on FB has grown too fast and also FB, from my perspective, its manipulating the bids. You will have to play around with objectives / work on your audience etc.

If you need help, feel free to hit me on Skype. We are providing PPC management and we have a service on BHW as well.

No matter what the time of the year it is, if you do proper targeting, you will always end up getting a lot of response from even a small budget. You just can't spend $5 on a broad niche and expect the statistics to be on your favour, you need to optimize it to be on your favour.

    It deserves !!!
Don't you think Facebook ads provide the marketer with a broad gateway to advertise the products to custom as well as to random, both kind of audiences. So quality does comes with a price. If worked out properly through them, definitely they tend to provide desired ROI to the investors.
