Hello guys!
If i make a custom audience from people that engaged with my post and then i make a lookalike audience from that custom one.

When i duplicate the ad and add that lookalike audience should i exclude the custom audience?

That would make sense if you don't want people who previously engaged with your content to see your ad

Personally, I'd keep them since their engagement will act as SOCIAL PROOF for your ad

So you have your custom audience already builded & off that custom audience you builded your LAA right?

well in that case I’ll start a new campaign only for the 1% LAA’s (when you build your custom audience from People that engaged with your page, normally everyone does last 365 or 180 days.

First What I like to do is to build a root custom audience of people that engaged with my page last 365Days.

After that I build more custom audiences of people that engaged with my page last last 90 days, last 60 days, last 28 days, last 15 days, last 7 days & (if you’re running a decent amount of traffic you should build last 3 days)

The reason i do that is because people that engaged last 180 days have a whole different behavior from
People that engaged last 30 days & so on & so on... you get the idea right??

After I have all those custom audiences builded , which normally takes 3-4 days for them to build, I create 1% LAA for EACH ONE.

I start a new CBO campaign, each ad set has 1%LAA + EXCLUDE > ALL SITE TRAFFIC > & EXCLUDE > your Custom audience of people that engaged with your page > LAST 365 days.

^At the AD Level ^

Use same post ID from ur original campaign (I’m assuming that creative is a winner?) If so the. Duplicated 2 more times so at the end you should have 3ads per ad set.

*******
Your new campaign should look like this:

1 CBO Campaign
8 ad sets
24 ads
*******

Kill ad sets that spent $10 without any conversions after 3 days you should have 3-4 ad sets left (winning ad sets)

duplicate each winning ad set 5 times into their own separate new campaign. ONLY IF THEY’RE WINNING AD SETS. Let your winning ad sets campaigns run rinse & repeat :)
