FB Ads - Automatic or Manual bids?

Simple question really...

I'm personally using manual at the suggested bid, I feel like I get more for my money.

Watching videos online, most of the "big guys" are using Automatic but I don't exactly understand why?

Let me know what you are currently using.

I think its better to use automatic when you're starting out or making a new adset, but when you're scaling up successful adsets, manual works better. Right now I'm running automatic on all of mine as I just started them 1-2 days ago.
 
At least you get facebook to run the ads. With manual sometimes the traffic runs so slow for me. And sometimes no traffic at all. So automatic for first few dollars

Last few days I have found the complete opposite, if I use automatic my traffic slows right down whereas if I use manual at the recommended bid it's working out a lot better for me both with clicks and impressions.

Guess it depends on what's being targeted.
 
Yeah it's fine to start at auto but when you get seasoned you'll save a ton of money using manual later on
