Well, after following the advice of other fellow blackhatters and reading a lot I managed to get those 8%+ CTR I wanted and this mornig I log in to my fb ads account and show those stats:

161 Clicks, 30 Actions and 14 Clicks to Website!

What exactly happened there? I know there is always some difference between clicks, actions and website clicks but here is HUGE!

I've checked my tracking stats and there were not more than 14 clicks on my website.

So can someone tell what are these 161 clicks?

Thanks

When you boosted the post did you target the right demographics? Sounds like your ad was shown to the wrong people or there may have been a problem with your server/host? You should get more than 10% with well targetted ads.

Were those new feed ads?

If yes, then click here consists of page likes + clicks to your website (+ several other actions), and out of which 14 were click to your website.

When they click the ad they go to my website.

I know that clicks are not the same as website clicks.

The problem is that I had 161 clicks and only 30 actions (14 of those actions were website clicks) so there are 131 clicks for which I paid and there was no action recorded for those clicks.

I forgot to say that these are Newsfeed ads for Desktop and Mobile (in case that helps someone to understand what is going on)

This is quite common in FB. There are many clicks that resulted in no conversion. Therefore, it is important that you prepare a large marketing budget and ensure that your campaign has sufficient profit margin.

We cannot judge what's going on unless we have access to your FB advertising admin panel.

Without seeing the figures or your account, we can only only guess, and there are infinite guesses that can be done on such things.

Many FB users likes to first see the FB page which is promoting the AD . While showing ads on FB you also see the Page Name on top left of page. So people clicking on your Page name also counts as a click.

So it seems plenty of users landed up on your FB page instead of clicking directly on the link.

As you said, they were newsfeed ad. I think this might have been one of the biggest reasons. Secondly, I think you might have went for cheap clicks without going much deeper as far as targeting audience is concerned.
