Well I just found out this morning that one of my accts was disabled.
I am not sure of the exact reason why.
It listed several reasons, but no specifics.
here is the first
Your account was disabled because you violated Facebook?s Statement of Rights and Responsibilities, to which you agreed when you first registered for an account on the site. Accounts can either be disabled for repeat offenses or for one, particularly egregious violation.
Facebook does not allow users to register with fake names, to impersonate any person or entity, or to falsely state or otherwise misrepresent themselves or their affiliations.
We do not allow users to send unsolicited or harassing messages to people they don?t know, and we remove posts that advertise a product, service, website, or opportunity.
Our Statement of Rights and Responsibilities outlines the types of content we do not allow on the site. This includes any obscene, pornographic, or sexually explicit photos, as well as any photos that depict graphic violence. We also remove content, photo or written, that threatens, intimidates, harasses, or brings unwanted attention or embarrassment to an individual or group of people.
If you have not posted violating content or otherwise violated our Statement of Rights and Responsibilities, keep in mind that your account may have been recently compromised by someone else. Also, our systems sometimes disable accounts temporarily for security reasons. http://www.facebook.com/help/?faq=1581
*** I had a link in my profile to a redirect to streamate...
I guess this is a lesson learned... You can't ewhore on FB.
Funny though everyone still seems to spam there dating and adult links on walls all over.
The second thing noted
Per our Terms of Use, Facebook profiles must represent an individual. Users aren't permitted to maintain an account under the name of their organization, or use personal accounts to advertise or promote themselves professionally. If your profile was listed under a non-individual name, or was used primarily for professional promotion, this is probably why it was removed. http://www.facebook.com/help/?faq=13624
*** I had a twitter feed posting all blog updates from my blog.
Lesson Learned -you can't just feed everything from your blog to your FB acct.
BUT what really pisses me off is that every major buisness like starbucks, ford, etc are all showing follow us on twitter and facebook on their commercials.
SO why can't regular non corporate internet marketers use facebook to promote their business?
