Hi, there,

I'm pulling my hair out with the favicon of a site.

On all browsers, the favicon is displayed. Except that in the SERPS, google doesn't take it into account and outputs the generic favicon.

I always use the same theme on 50 sites. same procedure.

Customizer, site identity, favicon, and then I put the image.

I've tried setting it manually on the root and calling it up in the header. google doesn't give a damn.

As I say, the worst thing is that all browsers take it into account...

If anyone has any ideas, I'd love to hear them.

Thanks guys

How many days have you waited for the Serp favicon to be updated?

I had the same issue on several sites. 2 sites didn't get the favicon updated for almost 2 months. It is up to Google's cache and it is something that you can't really control/force.
