Fastest way to transfer files from a Windows VPS

Hi,
I recently bought a windows VPS with the intention of using it as a seedbox/download box as I couldn't anymore let my Linux computers/Macs turned on 24/7 , and I did..

Well I do normally have a VDSL2 connection which let me download stuff at max 3.3 mb/s at home, and on the VPN I can download at 20 mb/S (yes, incredible indeed) and upload stuff at up to 10-15 mb/S ( I have now a total of more or less 8 TB uploaded on a "Star Trek Original Series " torrent)

So basically, I tried to install some sort of FTP server on it, SCP and a lot of other stuff but I couldn't basically figure out how to make the thing to connect to my Mac/Linuxpc


So, a nooby question..

How can I download stuff from my VPS (which can upload up to 20 mb/s , thus make me download thing directly at my max speed, 3.3 mb/s) so basically create some kind of super fast private "ftp" "megaupload" service and get downloaded stuff to my Computer at 3.3 mb/s?

[I know that RDP haves a "copy-paste" function but that sucks and can reach a max of 100 kb/s thus, it's not worth having the VPS if I have to use that cr*p]


Any help would be really much appreciated !

PS:After I get this figured out, if someone want me to seed his torrent/s for a while (I can do that for free) on a connections that often uploads at 20 mb/s on utorrent ,I will be more than happy to help . {no xxx/virus stuff tough xD }

You can open a free Dropbox account with 2 GB for instance - you create an dropbox folder on your VPS and then files will be transfered to your home PC dropbox folder. I hope this helps a bit

Thank you for your answer, but that isn't a solution as everything goes thru dropbox servers and haven't all that downloading speed...

And also , I need to transfer huge files (>10gb) so I need to be able to download at my max speed (3.3 mb/s)

Have a look at WWW File Share Pro. It is a http server - you install it, decide what folder to share and it gives you access by simply typing the IP in the browser. Which means you can also use any download manager if you want.
