Hey I've been following this site for a while. I've had an ecommerce site as a side project for the past few years and recently I decided to take the leap and do it full time. I've been using followliker for a while, and have been steadily gaining 100 followers per day (I follow 500-600 per day, unfollow 600-700 per day). As I'm gaining followers, my engagement seems to be going down. I have around 250 likes per photo and just under 10k followers so my engagement is lower than I'd like. I'm following followers of competitors, and I notice I get a lot of follow backs from random Indian guys/people from the arab world who are following a thousand accounts. I won't make any money from these people as my product is a high end fashion product. I'd like to target fashion industry insiders, rather than the regular teen/young people fashion audience. My niche is very small and my biggest competitor has around 16k followers (+300 likes per photo). There seems to be fairly low engagement in this niche. One of my closest competitors seems to have noticed my botting and is now quickly taking over me with followers. So I decided now would be the time to act fast. Ultimately I want to totally OWN social media for my niche. I think it's realistic because my competition in terms of social media is pretty small. Would love to just cast an enormous net and have everyone know about my product. ANYWAY - seeing that so many of you mention gaining 300+ followers a day, how can I gain more? Got any tips? Now that this is my full time gig I have all the time in the world I can dedicate to this. I wonder if the follow/unfollow technique takes credibility away from my brand. Sometimes I worry if people will get upset that I unfollowed them and take it to heart. Other notes: I can't do giveaways - my product is way too expensive for that. I don't know about shoutouts either; I did have a minor celebrity who had around 40k followers wear my product and tag my account/mention my item but I think I gained only 30 followers from that; for the hassle I don't think it was worth the 30 followers. My images are really great - I don't think that's an issue getting in my way so far. It'd be incredible to have 10% engagement... ultimately I'd love to hit 50k or have around 1k likes per image, whichever comes first. Right now the goal seems so far away though, and I'm not sure what steps I'd need to take. Thanks in advance Chickendinner.
