Often says stuff like "You visited this site x times recently"

When you see that you need to understand your site is number one on that machine only - because of the google cookie. You go there a lot, so it assumes that's what you like to see when you type in that keyword..so that's what it shows you...and only you.

Once Google consumes the first page of all search queries, as they are now trying to do, they can send Matt Cutts and his team packing. Some stuffed animals could be given to them as parting gifts.

This was like a yahoo news article and I had to rush to the comments for a laugh. Seriously though, when you are logged into Google, it shows the sites you visit the most on top related to that search query. I however have been doing seo since 1994 and can rank a website that easily. Good luck op.
