Hi, after reading a lot of experiments/journey, i decide to post mine experiment.
After a short research found 550k exact search keyword with ZERO competition. I sad - that can be my chance. I register EMD in foreing .extension, wordpress, 2 page with optimized content (compilated, spined, 100% copyscape) onpage seo, bla bla and start to build some web2.0 to promote it. I build a pyramid with over 200 web2.0 blogs/accounts/ every day work, some social network, indexing services, and for trier 2 over 1500 links..

    Results:
After a week, my site was on #30 for keyword.
Yesterday, i see visitors comming from various google tlds, and from .com from 3-9 spot
I hit 150 - 200 organic visitors/day. No monetization, i prepare some monetization for time when i hit 1 spot.
Anyway. Yesterday in evening , and today, i check rank, n/a, and for "site:website.tld" no result.
    It's gone...

    To learn:
No matter how many resources, anchors, dreams, strategies you use, you can easy fail.
Link pyramid, especially web2.0 blogs is super great in ranking ( use it on other website also 50k+ exact search emd, and after a week, hit 25#) but also can be risky.

Question: If i abandon this experiment, will return ever. I think no

What i'm lost? 6$ for domain, and some nights in work.

    Good luck to everyone.
(now i start another emd experiment for over 2 million exact search/month - i'm prepared to made over 1k web2.0 blogs, if will win, reat, if will fail, - no regret, that is life)

It could be a dance. Wait for a day or two and then report back. I like the way you summarized everything in short.
