Is it really a problem to get excess amount of backlinks a day. I just checked out bing.com and granted it is an authority search engine but according to quantcast they from 0 visitors to 47 million in a month. Also backlink watch shows 1.5 million backlinks. Thats a hell of a lot of daily backlinks.
Well Bing can do that because.....well it's Bing...lol But as far as regular sites, I've seen guys gain hundreds of backlinks a day and still mangage to climb the Google SERP's without any hassle at all. And the truth of the matter is, just because you put a lot of links out daily, that doesn't mean that they will all be crawled at the same time. The only time Google may (that is a strong may) raise the red flag is if one were to get a ridiculous amount of links within a small period of time (ex. 200,000 in a month).
I don't think that getting a lot of links quickly is bad at all, actually I think it is the opposite from what i have seen. Just don't do tons of xrumer blasts too quickly or other link building with software and you should be good.
OP, there is no problem in building many backlinks everyday. It is because, Google cannot collect all these Backlinks in one single day . Google spiders collect these links slowly and by the time it has collect enough, Google simply thinks your Site is so Popular that other sites are Linking to you
On the basis too many backlinks in one day was an issue... that would mean every time a site hits the front page of digg, mashables, reddit, slashdot, etc that the domain would be sandboxed by google the next week. cough bullshit cough. Too reallly understand this you have to study the link profiles of sites that hit the front pages of the sites i mentioned. Use a diary and save a backlink report when a site hits it big & then run the backlink report again in 2-4 weeks later. If you want to be a master of SEO you have to master link baiting, social engineering is always the best hack in any field. If you can't do humour, baiting or media virus's then you model your software/script link building to model real world link bait link profiles.
I agree.. think of joe blows little blog that wrote an interesting article on tiger woods and the stuff with him, it was informative then picked up by other sites. If it was that easy to tank your site most unethical people would be doing it to their competitors.
