FAQ: Using Web 2.0s as a PBN

Yeah, I unterstand that principle, but why does my tumblr not show a PA of 27 but only 1?

Great guide, I use software for managing expired tumblrs and its good, but I face alot of PA reducing to 1, so I constantly need to check them.
 
I think web 2.0 pbns will work good but content quality must be good.
 
The PA 1 vs 27 makes no difference. It about how Moz crawls them. Nothing more. If it has PA 1 it is the same back link profile as one with PA 27. It is just Moz not being uniform for two properties with identical back links.
 
Hi. I just discovered that Tumblr have changed direct links in my articles to meta-refresh.
And I see drop of SERP positions after that.
Have anyone see similar effect?

Scrapebox is one type of software that you can use to scrape expired web 2.0s
 
Thanks, so what do you recommend, a brand new domain or a newly registered web2.0 if you are to pump things up yourself from scratch?
 
Meta Refresh has not tanked any of my sites yet, but it will make Tumblr weaker IMO.

You can use Scrapebox, and DHG to scrape Web 2.0s.

When speaking of a brand new domain VS Web 2.0 with existing links I go with Web 2.0 all day.
 
It is still worth it.

I do build some to age up such as Wordpress. But others I scrape.

You are a JR VIP so I suggest going to the JR VIP section and reading some of my SEO threads (I am sure you have). I have a use for my 'bad' expired Web 2.0s I get.

But the higher metric ones still help you rank. Are cheaper than a PBN and depending on the project make a lot more sense than investing in a PBN for some KWs.
 
I use public proxies to register and submit. Is that okay or should I just buy some private rotating proxies?
 
If possible use private but public is fine as well. No matter how careful you are with a proxy, if any other person spams the Web 2.0 with you can get hit. Odds are slim but worth considering.

Web 2.0s are easy for diversity and move the needle second only to PBNs. I always say both should be used, it allows me to have a vastly smaller PBN and still make loads of money.
 
Do you need to switch proxies when handling the different 2.0s? Like if today I decide to make links on the multiple tumblrs I have scraped and registered with different emails, do I need to rotate proxies every once in a while in handling the multiple accounts? Or is that only a must when registering them.

Every website in the world has the capability to record IP addresses that users sign in with, so yeah Web 2.0-s most certainly do. But what you suggest is completely overkill. I am paranoid as well a lot, but never had problems with creating multiple accounts on 1 IP. Then again, I don't usually create many low quality Web 2.0-s, so that must be a reason. Simply put, they won't delete all your network if you login from 1 IP - they will look at quality first. If you don't blatantly scream spam and SEO, you will be fine. Emulating real blogs is the key!
