FAQ Schema Question

according to https://developers.google.com/search/docs/data-types/faqpage: "All FAQ content must be visible to the user on the source page"

Does this mean you actually have to see the question and answer on the page as well or just in the source code of that page. Wordpress FAQ schema plugins, help you introduce FAQ schema by putting your question and answers in the source code. They don't do anything with what you see on the page.

[1] So do you have to see those questions and answers on the page as well?
[2] usually how long after you have google re-index your page, you might end up seeing the faq schema in serp?

1: Yes, you have to display the FAQ on the page itself. In the general structured data guidelines from google, it clearly says the information marked up should also be visible for the user. (https://developers.google.com/search/docs/guides/sd-policies/)
Also, remember if you use multiple FAQ on different pages. Make sure to not use the same Q/As multiple times - you will get a penalty for this. (happen to me)

2. From my experience, it takes about 3-4 weeks to start showing up in the search result after the markup been indexed in GSC.

1. yes i realized that. published same FAQ content on the page as well, resubmitted to google for indexing and 30 min later it showed up in serp. this is for keyword that is very easy

2. assume you don't submit to google for reindexing from google search console? have you had pages that google just refuses to show your faq schema? i know, it says that it will not show it for homepages.

1. That's awesome - congratulations!

2. I've submitted for reindexing in GSC when I've implemented FAQs. In my experience, It's rather on a keyword level than on a page level, whether google decides to show the faq or not.
