So I am on the brink of buying the Fantomas Shadowmaker but would first like to hear the opinions of the people that already own it. Is it worth the price, aka 3Gs?

Fantomas is one of the best cloakers out there. It not only includes the ability to collect and write the content for you, including your specified keyword density, link to one site or depending on keyword to many different sites ... but has the most advanced and up to date ip list on the market (cost is $300/year after first year) - just to mention a few features...
On the negative site ... Fantomas does not provide you with any sort of master backed from which you can control all your shadowsites! For each site you want to create you have to install several pieces of the script onto your hosting sites etc., this makes developing sites more difficult and changing sites a nightmare.
BUT .... the question is whether you are now only starting to use cloaking or have already some experience? Besides Fantomas, SSEC seems to be a great solution ....

Ok what is SSEC?? I knew about Fantomas and was blown away by the wicked high price ( however good it may be out of my range).

Yes it does.
If you have re-seller hosting you can just use the Skelleton directory and all files will be automatically installed in each new domain you add.

you have to set up each domain separately but you are able to test the functionality for each domain from a central setup!
But there are few things which might help to speed up the process:
1. Use the skeleton directory (you still have to upload the generated pages apply permissions and change one line for the correct path)
2. Use domaindashboard - let you upload the control files to all of the assigned domains and set the permissions correctly but you have still to change one line of the script and upload each set of generated pages for each domain!
3.use soupnazis script (havent tested this yet)
4. ask Dirk the programer for a special solution its quite techie but it will speed up the process!
Support is super quick and always helpful + they are already in business for a long time
Making a cloaker isn't difficult - there are a number of them around and they're not exactly Mensa grade coding. The real secret is in the updated bot/IP list - there are free lists available but they all seem to date back to last September/October. I'm sure there have been changes since then.
Sent you a PM.. Sorry I had to leave on an urgent family matter. The ShadowMaster AutoInstaller (and the other tools) system is setup and it addresses all of the issues regarding ease of setup, multiple site/IP installations from one interface. I think that it provides a hands down solution for having the best cloaking system, with an easy 1-2-3 setup to multiple domains.
The mentioned skeleton file setup is an ok alternative...but that may leave a door wide open for problems associated with having all cloaking domains on one network or a shared reseller IP or account. And you still have to edit too many files (and set too many permissions) after you set it up.
Just like blog farms give you more juice by setting them up on different IP blog networks (like blogslammer does), setting up fanto or ShadowMaster on different IP networks (even free web hosting accounts), is the better option to DD and Skeleton files.

I am really not sure if you need cloaking at all based on the limited info you have given. Yes, it is possible to cloak 2 pages ..no you do not have to pay 3K to get the full effects, and more of cloaking. I think anyone that has used fantomas will tell you that it is worth a lot more than 3K...and I guess you will find people that will tell you it is total crap. It is a powerful tool if used correctly ....and if used the right way, it gets the job done, hands down.
The problem up till now, has been the cost or getting it, being able to get the right help for custom setups without paying out the nose for it, the problems with configuration for those not exactly comfortable with setting up scripts, and a fast way to remotely install multiple shadow domains in with ease. That's been solved now... PM me if you want to see what these setups can do.

That's true, cloaking simplified is just deciding what content to show to a given IP and getting it right. However the guy behind Fanto is mensa grade stuff, his knowledge of engines, search etc is up there with the best.

Nice indeed, i'd need to flip a coin to work out what tool to use next they all look so good. That reverse algo system has me really curious too.
