Old thread, but probably the most useful thread there is about scraping for footprints. Been reading awhile on how to search for footprints, and this is the best answer there is!

Just starting to get my head around footprints thanks to this thread!

Can this be applied to forums also?

I've tried using Scrapebox to find forums using footprints that I have made up and keep getting my proxies blocked after the first search??? All my footprints have "Powered by phpBB" in them - is this ok?

Sorry to bump an old thread, but great work with the footprints @crazyfix

May I suggest a minor improvement on your footprint

Code:

inurl:"http://  *keyword* .com/"

If we replace the ".com" with just ".", then we can open up new possibilities with no TLD restrictions.

Example:

inurl:"http:// *seo* . /"
