fanpage design......where to begin?

hello,,,i was reading this forum for long time and want to start some adventure in the offline niche,,,,i've seen all these topics about webdesign,mobile sites,ORM,....and want to do something different : fan page design and redesign and didn't see mutch talking about this exept an old thread that i can't remember so just want to ask some questions to my lovely BHW'ers

:
how mutch to price the fanpage design? (welcome tab,fangate tab,sweepstake,covers banner.....)
what to use as payment gateway: 2co or paypal?
approach and sell only through facebook or using email since i'm from a foreign country?
please give some advice i really want to make some money here

There are several ways you could market your service. I have seen several companies offer it within their list of services but honestly I have never been approached by a company that only specialized in fanpage design, so you may have a good little gig here. If I were you this is what I would do:

1. Create about a half dozen facebook fanpages and buy some likes - just so they appear to be active and popular pages.

2. Put your skill to work and make them the best fanpages you have ever designed. This will act as your portfolio.

3. Create a nice looking website that showcases what you are offering and in the "portfolio" section list your examples with a link to the actual pages so your potential clients can view some of your examples.

As far as payment gateway either PayPal or 2CO will work fine.

Now, to stir up some business...

I would get on facebook and search through business pages in your area and reach out to every single one that has a generic layout. You could hire a VA to do this, or you could dive right in and just find pages and email them and work the phone. At one point you just need to dive head first and start hammering the phones and sending emails. Once you start getting business keep updating your portfolio so you appear to be the expert in fanpage design when potential clients are checking out your site.

Also, after finishing each job don't be afraid to ask each satisfied customer for a referral. You will find that most are more than happy to throw some warm leads your way.

no since it's a design service to offer to businesses
