guys just want to know which is better for monitizing purposes of course.

FAN PAGE or GROUP? and why?

sorry if this has already been asked i tried search button did not found it so id like to know if anyone can answer

I used to think that groups where better, but then the layout changed and pages where displayed in a drop down under the search box so know i think pages are better, plus of course there is the matter of groups losing the message rights after 5000 members, i think you have to verify a page when it gets x many members but I'm unsure of what that numbers is.

I think that most people would say pages also.

Groups=max of 5k members but you can send them messages
Pages=unlimited members but you can only post wall updates

so i think fan page would be better if you have like million fans then atleast 1% will see your post that would be a lot of people..what do you think?

fanpage is anytime better than a group

I would have to say Fanpages, as there are many grey hat things you can with FBML, and sending visitors to your offer.

On any given day, I would recommend building a fanpage than a group.

Fan pages helps to track "insights" of a page (i.e u can see "avg age", "gender", "location" and other important factors of members from ur fanpage).

An unlimited number of people can join a fanpage and a fan page can become very active mode of communication if handled properly.
