I'm thinking of creating a few tumblr accounts, they will be entertainment related. Now my question is:
I'll fill it with screenshots and fan art and occasionally put a link here and there to drive traffic, am I allow to post fan art without crediting the one who made it?
When I was on FaceBook I saw a lot of pages posting fan art, but they said "Credit goes to owner". Is that enough? Should I add a DMCA option on my tumblr?
All tips are welcome.
Peace.

I'm asking this because I heard people got their accounts banned for using other people's images.

WHATEVER you do make sure you are aloud to use the images you have. You do not want someone coming after you for stealing their work. Sites like BigStock and Shutterstock are invaluable here.

There must also be sites with great fan art that works just like these two.

There's a reason why BigStock and ShutterStock both have "STOCK"in their names. FAN arts are definitely not something of STOCK right...

To OP: I think it's best if you seek for permission before using them. Can never go wrong asking, anyway right?

I think by law if you change the products original by 60% . Then it hasn't got copyright.

Just put the DMCA notification on your site and honor it. If someone says you are using their fan art without their permission just take it down.
