    So in the url bar wont be example.com/p=12 (page ID with numbers) but there will be example.com/testing.

    There will be post name.

    In your Wordpress dashboard choose permalinks under the settings tab and select "custom" and paste /%postname%/ then save it. Then open up your .htaccess file and paste the following into it -

    <IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteBase /
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
    RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
    RewriteRule . /index.php [L]
    </IfModule>

    that should do it.

    It should be in your in your wordpress default directory...not the theme directory but your directory that you have wordpress installed.

    Go to /public_html using your ftp client software and it should be there. If it's not just create the .htaccess file and paste the code in.
    I actually played a little with this today but for some reason it didn't work out like that for me. The best thing and what I did is to reinstall your theme.
