Search for "mass profit formula" on Google with or without quotes. The second search result has an image on the side, how does he do that?

I'd love to know how he's doin it. Something blackhat for sure. It looks like google sees it as a video when in fact there is no video to be found on his site. This might be the key to ranking high for essentially any niche.

but in all seriousness, I've never seen it done before where it has not been a press release or video.

Check the page source, he's linking to an mp4 video hosted with Amazon S3.
Then check the skin linked in wp-content

Edit: Don't moan about being unable to right-click.

Yea, he has a hidden div with a flash video player plugin in WP which (doesn't..) display this video

Excellent find! Very clever technique.

He also blocks his wp themes dir which includes his css files using robots.txt.

Damn that is fucking crafty. The vids are just a single image (with a nice "click here" graphic to aid in CTR from the serps) and music. Quite ingenious.

So that means if I do the same with my website it will also be ranked well and displayed with image in google serps???

I have no idea. He is possibly doing some other black hat stuff to have G think it's a video site? Or can we reverse engineer the entire technique?

I do not think that adding a video on a site has any effects on being indexed or ranked. My site also has video on it and it is not even indexed let alone being seen as a video ....

So today I setup the same, wp blog for a product, with video consisting of one picture and sound, in a hidden div.
Waiting for the results .... don't think that this will lead to first page of google together with the picture of my video *lol*
