Ive bought a service here on bhw of fake followers. I wanted to know how twitter knows these are fake because they never show up in my notifications not even one, whereas the others do. How does twitter distinguish this?

maybe it's ip related, i assume they weren't created from the same ip, but they can be created on the same subnet or more subnets which are blacklisted by twitter, not blacklisted from account creation, but pretty much from everything else, once the accs are created, they're gettin ghosted

Makes sense...was just thinking how the hell does twitter know ive bought a service lol just needed to pump my acc anyway

That because its weird activity, lot of followers delivered to you in a short matter of time.

Nah must be ip related as honeyb said above because i still get notifications of real followers whilst fake are being added

Why would you care about that though? I wouldn't want thousands of notifications.

i don't think the ip is considered. if twitter blacklist the ip usualy they suspend the account
i believe its more depend if the accounts are emails verifed, follow ratios......

I have noticed this over the past few weeks on a few artist accounts I am running, and it shows no notification but the numbers go up. Sometimes it will notify the mobile device and blow it up.

It also did this last year for a little bit, then went away. I am sure you can dig up some old post's on it here.

Why would you like to received thousands of notification its very annoying

A client complained about this to me too. Will also need a reasonable explantion for such matter

don't think so, i got a lot of followers for several account and they stick for months, other drop after a few days, it's something else.
