Hi all,

Quick question I'd like some feedback from the community on.

Would it help with SEO to have fake traffic visiting my site via Google for my "keyword"?

Thanks

Not really, I don't see how that can help with your rankings, or SEO.

flow non useful trafic for fresh sites, social pages etc. It seems to me that indexing is faster.

not really. I don't see any improvements with fake traffic.

It depends on some factors ... It can make send having fake traffic. Consider what Google Analytics might use of this informations, if you place the analytics code on your website. For me it finally worked for better search result rankings, also for Alexa and for website value. So for me I'm using it in "getting rid of some old domains", which I have. I produce traffic, get some nice website value after a couple of days and sell it, e.g. at Ebay. Just need some referring data to present to customers (I hope that are not SEO guru's) :-)

I did a 6 month test on a quality PR 3/4 domain in 2012...

Its 'natural' traffic was around 250-300 uniques per day and I pushed it 'artificially' to around 1500-2000 per day.

Alexa shot down a LOT but the rankings on the 900 keywords the site targeted remained unaffected; just the usual SEO shuffle.

PS. I ramped up the traffic over 1 month initially and spread it over 25 different popular pages; so it looked less artificial.

it is possible, but based on how you asked the question, it will take a few more years until you'll get there,
since it is a lot of work involved and you need special custom tools for it.

and even then you need the rest of the ranking factors to be added to the pie
