Hi,

I am learning about SEO, and after seeing some websites that ranks pretty well, I noticed the "we are hiring" section couple of times.

Some of the website might be genuinely hiring, but I have a suspicion that this open jobs might serve an SEO purpose, like faster indexing. You can request indexing for the website that displays an open job and the link will go to your website and be crawled as the side effect. Plus you have another back-link to your site.

The open job might be also used to get more user's trust in the service provided, so this might be the reason as well.

Do you have any experience with "hiring" and SEO?

yep, its a strategy

Job postings can be linked to from various parts of the website, creating more internal links.

But most of these job boards are nofollow, If you are talking about private sites, yes you can use that trick.

And they can get more natural backlinks also from hiring websites

Even if no-follow you will get crawled faster, because job boards can use Google indexing API.
