Fake News Sites

Has anyone had any luck with promoting via "Fake News Sites"? For example, this one NewsDaily7.com (it's down, but look it up on Archive.org). They were selling the aki berry lose weight crap and the FTC came down on them..

Regardless, I have a couple of good "News" domains that I think would work good for this format. Any suggestions as to how to make this work? i.e. wordpress + x plugins, etc..? Affililate programs to incorporate and fake testimonials, etc.?

FTC jurisdiction is the US, plenty on non-US offers out there ... just sayin'

Yea, I'm in the US... and just need a basic template that can work this way using PHP, etc. Something dynamic but not full blown CMS like WordPress.

Any suggestions?

It's dangerous grounds. What you need to know:

1) These kinds of sites convert really well. There's a reason people used them, and a reason why some people still use them.
2) They're illegal.
3) The people who use them are either really good at covering their tracks, or are outside of US jurisdiction.

There was a massive crackdown of fake news sites and fake blog sites a couple years ago. A lot of people got fined a lot of money. If you live in the US, it's probably not worth the risk.

what you can do with fake news site ?

"Real" news sites and shows is territorial about their "racketts". 90% of news on radio and TV are paid product, opinion and policy statements. Tell da truth!

I would suggest u designing something in photoshop so it will be exactly what u need as far as what the fake site looks like. Then get someone to "slice it up" in a script or Wordpress I know u said it does not have to be on app just it's probably easier to edit if u don't code. Then make sure u put the site on servers off shore and cover all ur tracks as in dint leave a lot of footprints...find some fellow black hatters offering hosting/servers. Just my 2 cents

ok.. thanks. Looking at the FTC issues with the "Fake" news site that I originally posted, basically came down to a racket on weight loss programs. I'm using ClickBank for this test.. thus, I'm going to only promote vs. have my own program.

Also, I found a couple of other Fake news sites:

Althought they are not as 'generic' as "NewsX.com", they appear to be very similar.

Another note, they show "Advertorial" or "Advertisement" at the very top of the page along with a disclaimer in the footer. Probably in order to "comply" with any Federal Trade issues.

I'm in the US and will want to do it as 'legit' as possibly and stay in the lighter-grey side of things. Although it's 100% advertising, I have a unique domain name that is very very generic and would work perfect for this. Last year, the name was parked and only made $650.

I won't run any type of scams (outside of ClickBank offers.. lol), but have already coded most of what I need for the site in PHP to make it dynamic enough to change the logo and "news" references based on domain name. I looked into using WP + some ClickBank plugin, but it seemed too bloated for what I need.

All the links go to a php script that rotates through a few different offers that are very similar (such as Work From Home). In the past week+ or so, I've had about 1,000 hops but zero paid so far. My conversion rate is really sucking at the moment.

I think I need to combine this with some other intrusive advertising or something. Thoughts?

Well, I need to make at least > $650/year since it was just parked for the past 14 YEARS. What about a Press Release news site? It receives quite a bite of direct navigation traffic.

Why not use it as a MNS for any other niche ? $650/y should be pretty possible as MNS

I guess the question is, what niche is good for "news"? Also, what about a Press Release distribution site maybe? using Pligg or something like that?

Well, I made my first 3 sales this month so far with the "fakenews" theme... one was refunded the next day, so far $31.86 each for a total of $63.72. No promotion, directnavigation only.

I know someone that faced 2 years jail time and cost him $1 million in fines.

News may be or must be fake but your site is not am I right ?
So if your site is genuine then no tense about traffic ,may be little amount but you must get traffic.
