Fake Likes

Started a new fan page the other day, currently up to just over 110 likes which are all from real people.
I see a lot of people use fake likes, was wondering if its something i should do as there are plenty of ways to get them
or should i just let the fanpage grow with real, legit ones?

The only benefit i can see from fake likes is people thinking its an attractive page and therefore liking it themselves but that doesn't allows work.

I've been using (*cough* botting) all of the major social exchange sites for a couple weeks now, among other things I'm using my points to get Likes on a few Facebook pages. While some of the Likes are clearly fake/bots I've actually seem some traffic to my status updates (links to blog posts with pics), click-through rate is around 0.5% (20,000 likes ~ 105 visits, 2.13 pages per visit, 00|01|47 time on site, 76% new, 42% bounce).

So some of the traffic appears to be real - multiple pages per visit and a few adsense clicks. So either there are a few real people in there, or someone's made sophisticated bots that click status links and browse-pages/click-ads.
 
i would just do mixture of real/botted i just made new page in 10 hours i have 960 likes for like quote page im gnna start using bots too see how it goes :) will keep you updated

Fake likes are doing just that. Giving a fake impression of your brand being popular. I can help you to build up your real likes as people tend to like your page
faster if they see more people have liked it. Though, you want to have an active fanpage where people talk about your brand, that creates a ripple effect or
the more commonly used term 'make it go viral'
 
Don't get fake likes, get real people to like your page.

Spot on Saltox!

Especially the GET part. It's all about creating an active community. Some few likes here and there that are fake
should be okay. But it's not something where the main focus should be at.
 
Yes, you're right but getting real likes of about 20k, 50k,, ... how ? it would really takes much time amo :) but legit as compared to fake likes.

Build your brand! It's not something you do over night! It's called marketing ever heard of it?
 
If your page is worth it, you will get enough likes...what good are fake hits if when Google or Facebook finds the perpetrator or source of fake hits, they will block it and punish those that used them by lowering their page value in searches or recommendations
 
I would advice you to stay away from fake likes you might get trouble with your page so try to get less but real likes.
 
If the real likes are coming in at a steady pace, why buy fake ones? Just keep it legit if they are coming in.

i used tweetadder to send likes to facebook . but yo realistically
1. i live what i talk about
2. 99% of these guys dont even use any other software so they dont know
3. facebook isnt the power source.
4. its about the overall presence on all sites. not just facebook.

getting thousands of likes in reality is not easy.
but if you have a hundred likes from a certain set of people you can manipulate that
and the real followers will see the status , thereby liking your status only
because it was popular enough to show on the main screen

example : samsung cell phones
 
To be honest with ya, sometimes it's justified. Only sometimes... and in limited quantities. Just to make your FB page or whatever look more appealing.
But then if you have a high proportion of fake followers, sharing and tracking the results from your campaigns becomes hard.
 
Stick with real likes and post quality content. More people will come. If you start using fake likes your kidding yourself, be the real deal!
 
be careful with those. i have 2 accts suspended for buying likes off of fiverr
 
the likes that you get from this like exchange sites : There are some real users in there :) so you can use this sites too grow but i think the best way is simply too grow your page legit :)
