Fake/Ghost followers - Remove or Block them?

Hi all
i'm wondering what are the differences between removing and blocking a followers froma business account.
If i block someone, do i remove it from my follower list too?

Is there a reason to block accounts if they're fake and ghost followers? I just removed some fake followers I bought on one of my accounts because I didn't know it was a bad idea yet, but I don't see what good blocking them would do.

You can remove followers only if you have a private account. If you block them you will remove them from your follower's list aswell

so the difference is:
- remove = removing from follower list
- block = remove from follower list + block the account

My accounts aren't private but IG shows a "remove" button next to each of my followers, and it's for sure working.

Its working. But if you want to remove 8000 followers? It takes a while..

Yeah, that would be annoying and time-consuming. I'm just saying, from what I can see, it's not true that you can't remove followers from a public account.

Haven't checked instagram lately, they probably updated it. Sorry for the mistaken information

If you block them it will remove them as a follower as well. I don’t see a need to do this unless you bought fake followers at some point
