[FAKE?] does this Facebook AD stat screenshot make sense?

Hi there,

I was studying about re-targeting thing and I found olivergoodwin guy's post
and this stat image inside his blog post.

I really cannot understand how the number can be like this.
Is this fake photoshopped screenshot or real?

CTR: 8%?????????????????

what's this calculation LOL
or am I wrong?

It's correct. This is how CTR is calculated.

CTR = [(Total no. of clicks)/ (Reach*Frequency)]*100

Named the campaign " amazon -> Retarget <- book " means he have a specific audience, interested in books etc. so it's really a normal result.

There's nothing fake about that screenshot. In fact, that CTR while it's good, is not impossible. Well written and targetted ads actually can actually get above 10+% CTR as well.

We have clients doing those numbers even in very blackhat niches like skin/diet.

look at the frequency (how many times the ad is shown to each person). His ad reached 15232 people, and it was displayed an average of 9.21 times per person. So he had 140287 total impressions. 11367 clicks divided by 140287 impressions equals ctr of 8.1%

I have seen results lower than that. BUT for website targetting, this is really great and attainable.
