Hey,

Does anyone happen to know an easy way to add a lot of fake comments to your blog ?
Would be nice if you could edit the time the comment was posted, the username and whatnot...

It's hard to get people to get actively commenting and a few seed comments would help a bit ;)
Doing it manually via comment form is okay but I'd like to add some dating a month back, some a week back etc..

Any help is appreciated.

I can do comments manually from different us IPs.. do you need manually comment?

As mentioned, xcommenter. Or if you have Scrapebox, set all new comments to go into Pending, then scrapebox comments to your site via proxies, then modify the comment dates before they are approved. And if you don't have Scrapebox, you might want to get it - lots of tools for a very low price.

Jesus christ why didn't I think of scapebox before...
Seems weird using it actually ON your site..

Can't you just add the comments and then go into the database and edit the names and times? (I haven't tried it myself, but I would think it would be fairly easy via phpmyadmin)

You could, but doing it with sbox would be quicker at cranking them out and give you more IP diversity.

@WhitePassion - LOL yeah, it does seem a bit odd to comment blast your own site, but I've done it quite often to get those "seed comments" going. Free tip from my own experience - since goog and others crawl blog comments more slowly than a lot of other content, it's fine to space out some "older" comments from times passed, but you might also want to include some comments with dates set to past few days and next days and weeks. Then dripfeed approve those when their dates have come and gone. Think of it in at least two ways - first, search engines' crawling of blog comments is a crapshoot at best. Second, some sites' admins are lazy/busy/whatever and don't review comments daily. I saw backlinks come in from a comment I had sent out to a site months ago just get approved last week by the admin. So if you mix up the dates on the comments, and then further mix up the dates when "the admin" of your sites approves them, even greater diversity and fog for the spiders. Best of luck!

I'f you have bit of time on your hand you can do this - I bet you get tons of spammy comments there "by default". You can always edit them - remove links/etc and approve :D

In my experience spam comments naturally flood in sooner or later. Just edit them and approve. Works for me

Well if you want different ppl to comment on your blog
& u don't want to pay for any software or blog in- you can easily go to amazon mechanical
turks or microworker & pay as little as ten cents
