Fuarkkkk, just payed 50 to sit the first exam and failed by five questions.

Will pass next time now know what to expect.

Anyone passed?, does it help career wise?

The adwords test isn't too hard if you've been using the interface, or studied the materials. There are some great study sites out there if you have the time. If not, pay someone to get it for you :)

I am also reading Google ad words for last months & thinking of sitting up for the adwords exam as well.

wow, you have my condolences. =( Im looking to get certified myself soon, i mean for $50 i think its a great investment on a resume. I'm using it daily at my new job, but I've only been here 2 weeks so far, never messed with adwords beyond the keyword tool before. can anyone please link to any good study references or practice tests that they know of? thx in advance.

When your go to take the test all the study material is there provided to you by Google. It's a tougher test that most people think. I remember when I took it for the first time it was over a lot of account management information that I had never used before. I was the top ppc manager at my agency (a big, well known one) and I barely passed. lmao

They are a lot easier now that I know what to expect from them.
 
Sucks to hear, but yea Google does offer free exams through their Google Engage program. If you ever do decide to get back into it, check into it. I did not find it too difficult as I just read each section twice and the book Advanced Google AdWords by Brady Geddes is a good read.
