Facebook's new update includes the chat bubbles. This is very annoying. Is there a way to get rid of it and make it go back to the simple script?

Yes it will happen to everyone just like Timeline did. Mine got updated yesterday. When you go on chat, the previous script is gone, when you type is shows up in bubbles like in a comic book or on your phone. I hope someone knows how to get the normal chat back.

Can you post a screenshot of the Chat Bubbles? I haven't seen this yet. Hopefully Social Fixer (plugin for chrome) will offer a fix for it. I will send them a message.

There isn't a way to using the old script once Facebook has updated your account for these new features.

for the other facebook updates there is a fix even for the timeline, they had a fix that brought back the old chat, I found several fixes for the chat (exept for this because it is new) so i don't see why they wouldn't be able to come up with a fix for this.

it seems they have finally rolled out bubble chat for everyone, and luckily there is now a reliable method for getting rid of bubble chat.
theres an option called "hide bubble chat" in the free FB Purity browser extension, that lets you get the old chat back. You can easily find "FB Purity" via a google search.
