With all the new "spam security" feature that Facebook has continuously been implementing since around June of this year, I would assume that regular people have been getting caught in the wake of all this.....and will continue to do so.

What I want to know from all BHW FBers is....

? Do you think that there will be a regular person backlash against FB?

? Have you heard real-life stories from non-marketers about having their accounts screwed up by FB?

? Do you think FB itself is in danger if they clamp down too hard on all of this?

I would really like as many of you as possible to weight in on this...decisions are being made here this week, and we need as much input as possible.

To answer all your questions, no
Somehow facebook has managed to keep the collateral damage to a minimum

Agreed. I haven't heard of any normal people talking/complaining about a roadblock.

1) Not enough to make a difference. If anything, FB will just scale any new changes back just a bit (or improve them), but they will definitely not entirely remove them altogether.

2) Yes, a couple. However, since these were real-life users, they had no issues getting their accounts back.

3) Unfortunately, no.

There's always a way, don't quit, keep testing and researching and you'll find the light

This is so awesome. Now I can get back to FB marketing again without having to worry about 80% of the bottom feeding maggots who bully, over-spam and report in the areas I am in. This finally levels it out. Truly a good day, :)

Not exactly answering my questions....

No, the sheep will eat the shit their feed. Even if they did, FB doesn't care, they do what they want.

A few dozen.

Do you think FB itself is in danger if they clamp down too hard on all of this?

Not currently. They have too many users and no competition.

some of my account got roadblocked few days ago ...all accounts have 2k-3k friends ..but i got them back ...by getiing them unlocked for $2 each account

now some people are providing this service

Had anyone lost fans on their fan pages after the outage? Are there any reports?

Facebook can afford to clamp down even harder. Substantial monopoly on social networking at the moment.

Facebook can and will do what it wants, when it wants, its too big at the moment and theres no viable challenger for now at least.

I don't think normal Facebook users will care they will just jump thru all the hoops that Facebook throws at them to get at there all important online FB addict life.

Agreed. IMHO, they will not have any significant competition until Google releases Google Me. I personally believe Google can overtake FB, but that is yet to be seen...I could be very wrong. However, one thing is for sure. Whether Google can overtake FB or not, Google will be the strongest competition against FB and then FB is going to start having to take into account all the stupid things they are implementing to piss normal users off because they will be afraid these same users will flock to Google Me.

I will bet my bottom dollar that Google is building Google Me around all of FB's errors/mishaps. At least I believe that is one angle they are building it upon. We will not know what is truly in store until it is released.

Is there any Estimated date of release on google ME ?

Lol, why so you can spam it? They haven't even said anything yet except about building a layer over some of their current services.

TIP: Learn how to use Google search before asking stupid questions about Google! :bad:
