Just went to the page insights and noticed this message:

We?ve recently updated the way we measure how many people like your Page. Pages may see a decrease in likes after March 12, when we removed likes from inactive Facebook accounts.

It looks like most of the fake likes will go away by March 12.

If the fake likes users are liking other pages and posting spam, they may get away with it.

Most FB users are dumb bots anyway.
 
It will be interesting what will be "inactive account" according to facebook algorithm Personally i would love to have inactive likes removed from my big pages lets see what happens on big celebrity pages
 
So Facebook is going to eliminate its real user base? :)
They are the ones who get inactive after a year or two.
 
This will increase post reach, as it highly depends on user interaction. Likes who do not interact with your posts mean decreased reach. I'm really looking forward to this.

You're right. Perhaps ads will finally be viable again
 
I remember reading a report on how Facebook measured its user base. In the report it classed inactive users/accounts as accounts which had been deactivated (block/banned or the owner had personally deactivated the account).

So I'm wondering what it now means by inactive accounts.
 
When i was starting out on FB, i purchase fake likes... But right now, i would love FB to remove the fake likes themselve..

Yes it looks like a smart move by FB there and it will benefit users too. As you pointed out, removing the lame accounts will mean your post interactions score will increase which is a good thing.

Buying fake Likes had to be one of the worst things anyone could do when it comes to FB. This isn't Twitter so why treat it that way.

It will be good to see dead accounts removes and watch as the number of "fans" drops like a stone from some of the pages that we've always known had fake Likes.

Getting Likes from real FB users has always been important and it will continue that way too.

I have a bunch of bought likes on my FB page, I welcome FB to flush 'em. :/
