groups for sure i grow groups on my own and pages too and groups are growing organically like crazy

join other groups as your page and share your page posts there and then invite your page likers to join the group.
Just my 0.02 cents
You should be able to go in to group settings and turn on facebook group suggest, This way facebook will suggest your group to other people who will then join. I am not sure if you need so many members first before you can turn on this setting.

Well, Facebook groups win in this case.
However my experience with Facebook Groups is not that great. Firstly Facebook doesn't allow to share a post with too many groups at a time (It is allowing me to maximum 3). Then many group admins take ages to approve the post. So it's a test of patience too. Groups those are set on auto approve are filled with crap and unrelated posts that are useless to share your content in.
I have had limited success with FB groups. I know there are people who are very much benefited from FB groups, but I am just sharing my experience here.

Well fb groups have a lot of members so a quality post can give a lot of traffic to your blog
Facebook group is better.
