Hey guys,
I make original videos and upload them onto Facebook frequently. For a while (starting September 2017) I was getting easily over 50,000 views per video, and had many do 200-300k with some even going over 700k and 1 in particular doing 1.7 million!
PROBLEM:
However around Christmas time (about 8 months ago now) this all slowed down tremendously. I've only had 2 videos go over 100k views since then! Most only do in the 1,000 to 4,000 view range. I suspect that Facebook "shadowbanned" my videos as they frequently involve swear words, vulgarity and sex talk.
One of my original sources of traffic was joining meme groups/funny video groups and sharing my video to them, often times 5-15 groups within the day the video was released. This worked well initially but Facebook caught on and now prevents my accounts from sharing (whether they tell me or not) because often the videos I share to groups get minimal if any likes, and only are shared to probably 3-4 of the 10 I try to share to.
I have also had friends tell me that even though they like and follow my Facebook page, they never see my videos show up in their feed.
WHAT I WANT TO DO:
I want my videos to perform like they did before. I was getting atleast 50,000 views and reaching audiences who genuinely enjoyed my videos. I'm not sure if Facebook shadowbanned me or I simply need to re-think my methods of sharing to groups (i.e. find a way to automate an account to share to groups without getting flagged as spam). Is there changes I can make to my page to prevent this? Is there a way I can check if I'm shadowbanned?
Any information is appreciated guys. For reference, the videos are 100% original, often vulgar with swearing and mostly for comedic/parody purposes. I have over 13,000 likes and 16,000 followers on the Facebook page but videos still perform poorly.
