Facebook trolling traffic driving idea using firebug and popular websites

Whats up BHW..

So i think ive come up with an idea to drive semi targetted traffic to my site.

It basically uses firebug, the firefox plugin, to quickly change the look of a site, some headlines and text (obvously the site will only look like that for you).

Same result good be achieved in photoshop, but this is quicker and easier.

My plan is to host the image (at the end of the post) on the page i want to drive traffic to, i then post a link on relevant fan pages and hope people click through.

EXAMPLE:

I would post this on the metalica fan page.

"Hey guys, has the metallica homepage been hacked....check this screen shot someone sent me"

Then post the link.

Heres one i made now..took all of 2 minutes.

Any thoughts or comments ?

Yes, it could work, but with ballistic trajectory, since people will get fed up with it very fast. It definitely has potential for some wicked twists.

cool....but dont understand firebug already installed

It's not the worst idea I've ever heard. Pretty close though.
