Facebook showing me ads for different country

I have a US FB profile that I set up years ago and I used it with a US VPN.
Now I'm using it with a US proxy and VPS, however, I still get ads shown in my home language, even though the location is also set to the US, language to English etc.

Does anyone know how I can change or reset this so I see US ads only?

I suspect maybe at some point years ago I probably logged in without VPN, possibly when setting up the profile in the beginning. Thanks

If I check "why am I seeing this ad" it tells me "Company X is targeting people whose primary location is [my home country]", so seems like FB doesn't believe I'm in the US, even though proxy and everything else is 100% US and nothing is leaking. I tested this over and over again.
