Hey,

Recently there was something on my facebook newsfeed that caught my interest:

It's a content locked site, which wants the visitors to share it on facebook and leave a comment in order to get a 250? coupon of a well known petrol retailer.
After you shared and commented the page, you would have to finish a survey (just like the ones from a PPD page).

I feel like this model has a lot of potential, because by forcing the visitor to share the site you will quickly get a big number of visitors.

But I'm concerned that not enough people would bother to complete a survey.

What do you guys feel would be the best way of monetizing a website like this? I am thinking of ads or something along those lines...
Or is a page like this not profitable at all?

Some input would be much appreciated! :top:

For me when I am going to facebook as a user and I see such " if you share, I do this" I always feel like skipping it

Well, a site like this wouldn't be hard to make. The main problem is that I don't know of any CPA network, which is okay with their content locker being used for fake content...
I might just try it with real content or I'll add a link to a PPD website.

There are lot of things that happens on Facebook. This one time a girl offered that she will take off clothes in front of Web cam for me if i do an offer for her :p. The question is are you willing to go that low?
Many other advertisers offer coupons and gift cards for people who complete the offer. I don't like going through the trouble but many people go through with it.

Do you mean, you don't like going through the trouble of completing an offer or the trouble you're facing when creating a site like this? :hmmmm:

You are not the only one who is thinking like that. 80% of facebook users is like that.

I think you are just going to get a large amount of negative feedback/reports about your offer, and FB is going to ban your accounts within hours/days of creating them if you push such obvious spam offers. There are definitely ways to use this strategy to gather leads, and market back to them later, but straight up spam content lockers on FB are probably not working for most people these days due to FB aggressive account banning protocols.

***Of course someone knows that what I wrote above is completely wrong, and they are doing exactly what I have wrote isn't working so well. That said, I doubt you will find these individuals or that they will reveal their working strategies to promote these types of apps/websites/offers.
