Hey does anyone know if there is a way to link directly to the share button of a post? like this
    Share.png

What im trying to do is make it so when someone clicks a share button on an external site page or script, they share a post from someones page? I think this would be beneficial for pages trying to expand. Does anyone know?

facebook has something called Share button.
The button accepts url paramaters. It can also use the facebook API and microdata from a site to know exactly what to show on the facebook post when its being clicked.

You add the button to your site. And then configure either the page or the link itself with what you want facebook to show. This includes title, description, image, and even link to where users can visit to see the original content. With this you can share vidoes, text, images.

    More Complex.
If you want to know if someone clicked the link then you need to use the Javascript Events API and subscribe to share events. For that to work, you need to register an application and the user sharing the content needs to use your application to do that. If the goal is just to get a bunch of links on facebook (do the above). If your goal is to compensate people for sharing, then either use the API or add a query paramter to your urls which would be unique to each share.

google search this to find out more /docs/plugins/share-button/

    Thanks for your reply!

I understand the general uses of the Share button w/ images videos and all that other stuff that requires a link, but if you try to copy the link to the share button itself on a post and paste it else where its dead. I'm trying to figure out a way to to share a status update from a page by clicking a share button outside of facebook.

Can you give a more detailed example using Domain names?
I am having a hard time figuring out where you are copying and pasting from.

What is the overall goal here?

I think pretty much the only thing you can do is embed the posts on the website you're trying to get it shared from, because you should be able to embed posts from any fanpage
