I am a professional programmer. I have a lot of software I've written over the years for clients, or for myself, and I'm considering releasing some of it, if there is interest. I think the first item would probably be my Facebook data miner. Its been used by a few different mailers, with success, although I realize that may not be the target audience here. The idea is that you give it a list of email addresses, and you get full profile information and connections (eg, family member names). It is designed to handle a lot of activity and run continuously on a server (not on your desktop), with a web interface to control most features.
I do have other software in this area, and I can obviously change some of the features if there is something more appropriate for the people on this forum. However, I am not currently looking for freelance work. I'm just trying to make some use of the working software I've already written and tested.
Please note, I'm only trying to see if there is any interest in this kind of software. It is not currently ready for release. I write all of the code, but I usually also run the software for my clients (or for myself) which means that it lacks the polish required for 'release' software.
